Passenger Vessel selects ScreenScape’s Venue Networking platform to provide visually rich content in Caribou terminal
Charlottetown, PE (PRWEB) November 10, 2009 -- Northumberland Ferries Limited (NFL) has announced the selection and deployment of ScreenScape's Venue Networking service for their ferry terminal in Caribou, Nova Scotia. NFL joined the ScreenScape network through Affiliate Partner, Imageworks Communication Group. NFL Ferries will supply the content to the Internet-connected display while ScreenScape provides the content tools to power it.
Danny Bartlett, Vice President Finance of Bay Ferries and Northumberland Ferries Ltd. noted, "Screen displays have been installed in the restaurant inside the ferry terminal at Caribou, with plans to install another screen display in Wood Islands ferry terminal in future. The displays will be used to delivery relevant content such as ferry scheduling, travel packages and promotion of our other ferries such as the CAT, which crosses between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Bar Harbor, Maine.”
“Aside from our own content, we are able to introduce content from the local community to aid in promotion and to present our visitors with things to do and locations to visit during their stay. Since we are in contact with so many tourists on a daily basis there are huge advantages for tourism operators on both PEI and Nova Scotia." Bartlett continued.
ScreenScape is an online service that provides local businesses with a cost-effective vehicle to advertise or promote their respective products and services within its member venues.
Mark Hemphill, Founder and Chief Product Officer of ScreenScape noted, "Certified ScreenScape Affiliates, such as Imageworks, are able to leverage our technology to firmly establish their network of trusted venues with whom they can partner to offer unique marketing services. We’d like to welcome Northumberland Ferries to the ScreenScape Community and look forward to their continued success.”
